RFID System SIMATIC RF600 in the UHF Range
The new SIMATIC RF600 RFID system complies with the requirements of the EPC global and ISO/IEC standards. UHF technology makes possible large distances between the reader/writer and the data medium (tag). Featuring a rugged IP65 enclosure and capable of operating in a wide temperature range, the reader/writer is suitable for rough industrial environments that are, for example, found in warehouses or at loading ramps.
The new reader/writer is connected to PCs or SIMATIC PLCs via TCP/IP or RS422, and through them, integrated into existing automation and IT landscapes. Additional read/write devices are being readied: a portable model for mobile applications and an exceptionally compact one with integrated antenna.
